I was born and raised in the Berkshire countryside where‚ throughout childhood‚ my friends and I roamed far and wide. The fields‚ woods‚ lanes and hedgerows ‘were ours’. The freedom we enjoyed left me with an enduring love and appreciation of nature and the landscape.

After studying graphic design and illustration at the Berkshire College of Art‚ followed by several years working as a designer/art director in London‚ I opened my own graphic design studio in Henley-on-Thames‚ which I ran for over 30 years.

These days I wander the countryside again‚ painting landscapes ‘en plein air’.

There are examples on the gallery pages alongside portraits‚ still lifes and other subjects that have captured my imagination.
